The Daily Transit was started in January 2007 as an outlet for personal reflections on world events, essays on life, poetry, and book reviews — all largely rooted in the theme of travel, both real and metaphysical. The blog has rarely adhered to a proper format and often struggles to live up to its “daily” namesake, though it is making some headway in those areas. TDT is committed to promoting international consciousness, free speech, environmentalism, and keeping a wandering spirit. It hopes in future posts to discuss cosmopolitan culture and philosophy.

Ben Hancock is a writer/editor living in Seoul. He was born and raised in the greater Seattle area, and has traveled in South Korea, Beijing and around the United States.

He feels most at home in Seoul, Seattle, San Francisco and Madison, Wis.
